Sell commissions on ComCroft

ComCroft is built for independent artists. Get paid securely for your work, with no upfront costs and no platform fees taken from your earnings.

01

Create your profile

Sign up, choose a display name, and set up your artist profile. Add a bio, your specialty and style tags, and upload portfolio images to show buyers what you can do.

02

Set up your products

Create commission products — for example "Character Portrait, £50, 14 days delivery". Buyers can choose from your products or place a custom commission at their own budget.

03

Connect Stripe to receive payments

Stripe Connect handles your payouts securely. It takes about 5 minutes to set up and requires identity verification. You choose which country your bank account is in.

04

Accept or decline commission requests

When a buyer commissions you, you have 3 days to review and respond. If you decline, the buyer is not charged. If you accept, payment is authorised and held while you work.

05

Deliver your work

Upload the finished work directly to the commission thread. The buyer reviews it and can request revisions (up to the agreed number of rounds) before approving.

06

Get paid

Once the buyer approves, payment is released immediately to your Stripe account. ComCroft deducts a small platform fee from the buyer — you always receive the full agreed budget.

Frequently asked questions

How much does ComCroft charge?

ComCroft charges a platform fee to the buyer on top of your agreed budget. You always receive 100% of the amount the buyer agreed to pay you. The platform fee covers secure payment processing, dispute resolution, and platform support.

When do I get paid?

Payment is released to your Stripe account as soon as the buyer approves your work. If the buyer takes no action within 7 days of delivery, the work is auto-approved and payment is released automatically.

What if a buyer disputes my work?

Disputes are handled by ComCroft's admin team. Both parties can submit evidence and ComCroft will reach a fair resolution, including the option for partial payment splits where appropriate.

Can I set a limit on how many commissions I take at once?

Yes — each product can have a maximum slot count. Once that number of active commissions exist for a product, buyers can see it's full and cannot commission that product until a slot opens up.

What if I need to close my commissions temporarily?

You can set your status to Closed at any time from your artist dashboard. You can also set a reopen date so buyers can see when to come back.
